Aaron Taylor Johnson joins Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu

The Witch AND the northerner Director Robert Eggers is already hard at work making his next film, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any casting announcements to report. Second ExpirationAaron Taylor-Johnson is aboard Eggers Nosferato.

A new version of the vampire story originally filmed by FW Murnau in 1922 (and based, of course, on Dracula), This Nosferato previously starring Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe and Emma Corrin.

The story is a gothic tale of obsession between a bewitched young woman (Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire (Skarsgard) who pursues her, bringing with him indescribable horror.

And Taylor-Johnson isn’t the only one joining the cast: Eggers also adds Simon McBurney and is reunited with Ralph Ineson, who appeared in both. The Witch AND the northerner. The director is shooting in Prague, but the film has not yet set a release date.
