Last Monday, TF1 began airing Avenir, a series with Kev Adams in which the comedian plays Elliot, a 31-year-old bored with his job as an appliance salesman.
One evening, a computer glitch allows him to contact himself 20 years ago. He then discovers that he can change his past to improve his present. But the smallest change can have serious consequences…
As seen at the end of episode 2, where he makes a gruesome discovery in his freezer. To find out what happened during those years, Eliot goes to the office of his psychologist, played by Guillaume de Tonquedec, and there he discovers the notes of the sessions held with him.
In the videos, we can see Elliott as a child, where twins Maddy and Sohel Mefta are camping, but also a teenage version of the young man. And if the character only appears for a few seconds, the resemblance to Kev Adams is striking. And for good reason, it is his brother, Noam Smadia, who lends his qualities to this character.
His face may not be familiar to you, but to young shopaholics he is known as DJ Noyz. He also appears regularly on social media with his brother Kev. However, he tried comedy for the first time.
With Kev Adams as co-producer but also co-writer of Avenir, he decided to bring in his little brother to play a teenage version of himself. Good idea, the similarities between the two are logically striking.
However, those few moments in Future Episode 3 mark Noam Smada’s final appearance on the series, as the version of Elliot he portrays will not return for the rest of the season.
Find two new episodes of Avenir this Monday, March 6 from 9.10pm on TF1.
