On a talk show, Steven Spielberg revealed how he manages to review (several times) just one of his films
With an iconic filmography filled with blockbusters and classics, director Steven Spielberg manages to list his favorites – and the filmmaker even revealed which film is the most “perfect.” He was responsible for productions such as Jurassic Park – Dinosaur Park (1993), Shark (1975), Schindler’s List (1993) and ET The Extraterrestrial (1982).
During an interview with The Late Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Spielberg revealed how there is a movie of his that he has watched “over and over” these last few years. “I don’t look back on my films much after making them. I don’t look back very often, but I occasionally watch a film with my children,” stated the director.
“I want to accompany my children when I see ET with them for the first time. I don’t want them to see ET without the dad sitting there, especially the scary parts at the beginning,” revealed the filmmaker. “Sometimes I see things I intended to do that I didn’t do, and sometimes I see things that would have been a better idea than what I’m seeing right now, all these years later – but, for the most part, ET It’s a very perfect film.”
It’s one of the few movies I’ve made that I can actually look back on again and again.
