Stranger Things: David Harbor Reveals When Filming on Final Season Will Begin; Know

Actor David Harbor has announced that filming on Stranger Things will begin in June for its fifth and final season. Harbour, who plays Detective Jim Hopper in the Netflix series, made the announcement at Middle East Film & Comic Con this weekend in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The actor didn’t hide his feelings towards the show’s final days, noting that he was sad, but that it was “time to finish.”

We are entering the fifth season. I still have a few months to train. However, we started filming in June and this will be the last season. I trained a lot for the fourth season. He [Hopper] it was in a very specific location, that Russian prison. It was about making him a different guy and shedding a layer of himself physically, mentally and emotionally. But now he’s back in the city, in the United States, where they eat cheeseburgers, so he’ll be well fed.

Harbor revealed little in the way of a plot. As noted by the actor, his character spent most of the fourth season in a Russian prison. Seeing Hopper reunite with Joyce (Winona Ryder) and her adopted daughter, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), was featured in the final moments of last season.

While this news is certainly exciting, the release date for the final season of ‘Stranger Things’ is not currently known, though it is more likely to arrive in 2024.

“Stranger Things” premiered on Netflix in July 2016. The series “follows the residents of the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, USA, as they are plagued by a hostile alternate dimension known as the ‘Upside Down,’ after an experimental facility human neighbor opens the gateway between the Upside Down and the normal world.

Created by the Duffer brothers, ‘Stranger Things’ has amassed a huge fan base for Netflix and has become one of the streamer’s most recognizable shows.
