The educational community can contribute until October 31st to the construction of the new Curriculum Document of the municipal network.
The Municipality of Porto Alegre, through the Municipal Department of Education (Smed), has launched a public consultation aimed at updating the Municipality’s Curriculum Document for Elementary Education. The objective is to create an integrated and participatory framework that coherently guides teaching in public schools.
Open from 17 October, the consultation remains available until 31 October 2025 on the official Smed website, in the “Public consultation” tab. Teachers, leaders, students, families and citizens can access the electronic form and record suggestions that help improve the document.
The preliminary text was developed with extensive collaboration between teachers and pedagogical teams and is aligned with the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC) and the Curriculum Reference Gaúcho (RCG). New features include the inclusion of Philosophy, Religious Studies and Spanish Language, as well as the incorporation of the BNCC of Computer Science and Education in Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER).
All contributions will be evaluated by the Smed technical team and, if relevant, integrated into the final document. The initiative strengthens the municipal network’s commitment to participatory and innovative public education focused on cultural diversity.
