“I don’t know how many times Brooke and Ridge have been married!” : Kathryn Kelly Lang recounts her 35th birthday in Love, Fame and Beauty

On March 23, 2022, Love, Fame and Beauty celebrated its 35th season on CBS in the United States. To celebrate its incredible anniversary, the iconic series highlighted its iconic character for a special episode: Brooke, played by Kathryn Kelly Lang.

Less than a year after the transmission of this special component across the Atlantic Ocean, TF1 offers French fans of the series to discover this adventure this Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 10:30 am. For AlloCiné, the heroine translator returns to her career in fiction and reveals a few secrets…

AlloCiné: What do you think is Brooke’s worst act in 35 seasons of Love, Glory and Beauty?

Kathryn Kelly Lang: She slept with a deacon who was her daughter’s husband at the time. Without hesitation!

Who is Brooke’s arch nemesis: Taylor (Christa Allen), Sheila (Kimberlynn Brown) or yourself?

Undoubtedly himself! (Laughs) He always puts himself in very difficult situations…so to speak, he always finds a way out. But I believe he eventually learned from his mistakes and changed things to become a more compassionate person.

Do you remember how many times Brooke and Ridge (Torsten Kay) did they get married?

(laughs) I have no idea! I would say ten times, but I think it’s more!

Besides Ridge, who else could be right for Brooke?

Nika was very nice to him. Bill is a strong character, and they’re a good match… but if it’s not Ridge, maybe he just needs someone new. Or maybe no one! Maybe he will be alone… for once! (laughs)

Do you have a favorite plot?

I like all of her long-term relationships: Brooke and Ridge, Brooke and Eric, Brooke and Stefan… but I think the last one is the funnest. There was a kind of real passion between them!

Which former co-star would you like to see on the show?

Suzanne Flannery, but she’s very happy in retirement… (laughs) Alas, that’s not going to happen, but we still talk to each other.

Have you considered leaving the show at some point?

Not easily. If I felt like I was on the show, maybe, but we have weeks where we don’t shoot. That way, I have time for other things: filming, traveling, working in another business… I like these moments of breathing.

Can you be friends with Brooke, Katherine?

I think I’m running out of patience with him (laughs) creating a lot of drama for nothing. A lot of crazy things happen in his life. To be honest, I am a simple person. I like Brooke’s orderly and uncomplicated daily life.

Want another crossover? fire of love, the soap opera where love, fame and beauty come from? It’s been a long time since Brooke has been in Genoa City…

That’s right! It’s always funny when you do that. Brooke might see Victor again…

What direction would you like to take your character in the future?

I leave that to the writers! (Laughs) I always look forward to reading the scripts to find out what’s going to happen. I have played so many stories, answered so many actors… It’s hard to come up with new ideas. Although, I sure wish she would get more involved in her work, do something for her…rather than stay at home talking to people!
