Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney to direct documentary about Elon Musk

American director Alex Gibney, winner of the Oscar for the documentary “Taxi to the Dark Side” and the author of a large number of high-profile films, will produce a film about Elon Musk. According to Variety, the cinematographer has been working on the project for several months now. The publication reports that the future picture was called “Mask”.

I have been working on this film occasionally for some time and am very excited about it. I am delighted with this extraordinary team that works with me, – said Gibney.

The project is described as “defining and unadorned research into a multi-billionaire.” The documentary is produced by Jigsaw Productions with Closer Media, Anonymous Content and Double Agent. The project is being produced by Jesse Dieter, Stacy Offman and Richard Perello.

Also contributing to the film are Joey Marra, Zhang Xin, William Horberg, Nick Shumaker, Jessica Grimshaw, Don Olmstead, David Levin, Dana O’Keeffe, Teddy Schwartzman, Michael Hamer, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer. Gibney is one of the producers of The Mask. Previously, he directed such documentaries as “Citizen X”, “Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine” about the creator of Apple, “Armstrong’s Lie” about cyclist Lance Armstrong.
