Avatar 2: This is an unexpected trailer you probably missed

After a long wait, Avatar 2 has finally released its first pictures! At the edge of the plan, a character appears who is dead in the first part. How is it possible?

Released on Monday, May 9, before the release of Doctor Strange 2 in cinemas, the first trailer of Avatar: The Way of the Water was viewed 148.6 million times in 24 hours.

Thirteen years after the release of the first opus, the enthusiasm for the saga initiated by James Cameron seems to be still strong.

If these first images do not reveal much of this second episode, which contributes to the visual sink, they will allow you to explain the fate of the important character in Curtain Avatar 1.

Indeed, The Way of the Water will see Miles Kvarich return, the big bad of the first part, performed by Stephen Lang. If we already knew that the actor was back for Avatar 2, we assumed it would be through flashbacks, the antagonist was dead with a few arrows shot down by Neutri.

The trailer, however, shows that this ruthless colonel will be alive and well ten years after the events of the first opus. But how is this possible?

One of the shots in the trailer shows Na’vi in a stern, angular manner, which is remarkably similar to this bad appetite. The hint also leaves little room for doubt, with his tattoos on his left arm.

Like the human version of Colonel Kvarich, this boat tattoo has a bird motif. So everything suggests that the bad guy in the first movie himself became an avatar.

The latter, perhaps at the last moment, had to be rescued by his comrades and then taken to the tree of souls in order to transfer his consciousness to the body of the boat. Jake Sally was rescued in the same way.

Those who had a fierce hatred for the boat are now part of it. How does history explain this? What will be Kvarich’s goal in this second feature film? Will he always be the enemy of our heroes or the ally now?

“Stephen Lang was so great in the first film, his return is a privilege. I’m not going to say how we plan to bring him back, but in the end, it ‘s science fiction. His character will suddenly develop during this new period. A trilogy.”Said James Cameron in 2013.

Anyway, the answers to these questions will be known on December 14 when the film comes out. If the second trailer does not provide clues to support certain theories.
