The cold front advances across the South and Southeast this weekend

Rain and thunderstorms increase in the state of São Paulo. Despite the cold front, temperatures remain high

Throughout the week the Cyclone Vortex loses intensity on the coasts of southern Brazil, but a new cold front already has a date to arrive. Throughout Friday (10), the humidity that comes from the ocean still maintains rain clouds between Santa Catarina and Paraná, while the dry climate predominates in much of Rio Grande do Sul.

Nonetheless, On Saturday (11), the development of a new frontal system will again acquire greater intensity between the coast of Santa Catarina and Paraná, reinforcing the rain conditions in these areas.

On Sunday (12), this cold front will be at the height of the coast of Sao Paulo. The cold front helps funnel a corridor of moisture, so rain arrives early Sunday in Sao Paulo state, with the possibility of thunderstorms earlier in the day.

Despite the passage of the cold front, temperatures remain high, with a feeling of sultriness.

Rio de Janeiro also experiences a change in weather over the weekend, despite the lesser influence of the cold front. The circulating winds coupled with the heat and humidity increase summer shower conditions in the state Friday through Sunday, and the temperature eases somewhat early next week, far from hot, but milder temperatures.
