‘His Name Was Pedro Infante’: ViX Series Begins Filming (Cast and All Details)

As “María Félix: La Doña” stood out as ViX’s original production about the life of a Mexican celebrity, the world’s largest streaming service began filming His Name Was Pedro Infante.

The series will star Mario Morán, known for “Don’t stain Frida” and “Pasión y poder”, but will also include other famous talents, such as Ana Claudia Talancón, star of “El refugio”, “Perfectos desconocidos” and ‘Soy tu fan’.

In addition, it features Daniela Álvarez, Regina Nava, Juan Carlos Remolina, Leticia Huijara, Nacho Tahhan, Raúl Sandoval, Mariana Lozada, Julieta Egurrola, Manuel Balbi and many other great actors.

“He Was Called Pedro Infante” begins in 1917, in a town in Sinaloa where a poor child is born with no future. A dreamer, in love and always heartbroken, he never gave up on being someone extraordinary.

The promise he made to his mother led him to become the biggest music and film star of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. his songs and characters traveled the world, and when he reached the top, he met a tragic death.

The original ViX bioseries has Rubén Galindo as executive producer and showrunner. Alejandro Bazzano (“House of Paper”) and Sergio Siruela (“The Accidental Heirs”) join as directors. Alexa Muñoz Vidaña is the associate executive producer and Guillermo Ríos and María José Mochales are the writers of the epic series.

Recording will take place primarily in San Luis Potosí, but there will also be some filming in Hidalgo and Mexico City.
