Called the TikTok Series, the new feature is another way for creators to make money on Bytedance’s platform.
TikTok has launched a new product, Series, to allow content creators to sell access to long-form video series.
LIKE THIS? “Qualified” creators can assemble up to 80 20-minute videos into playlists and sell access to their followers.
The novelty is positioned by TikTok as an evolution of the platform, making the creators:
“[…] feel valued and rewarded as they inspire and engage the community.”
DETAILS. Playlists/series will have links that can be shared or highlighted in the creator profile.
The content behind the signature has yet to adhere to the platform’s community guidelines.
At this inception, the TikTok series is only available to select creators. General signups are expected to open “in the coming months,” according to TikTok.
