According to Deadline, “Creed III” star and director Michael B. Jordan has morale in Hollywood. Grossing 100 million dollars at the box office, since last year he has been in talks with MGM and Amazon to have, on Prime Video, new projects between films and series to expand the “Creedverse”.
However, information is still scarce, as the conversations are still in their early stages, but Deadline has indicated that an anime series is under consideration, as well as plans for a live-action TV series.
Another project being analyzed involves Adonis Creed’s daughter Amara, who debuted in ‘Creed III’, played by Mila Davis-Kent.
Expansion of the “Rockyverse”
In addition to the Creed universe, other characters from the Rocky Balboa universe are expected to win solo projects. Previously announced, MGM is working on a spin-off film about Ivan Drago, Rocky’s in-ring opponent. The Russian boxer is expected to appear with his son, Viktor, who faced Creed in “Creed II.”
Rumors have suggested the film could become a series, but the studio is likely to keep it as a feature film. There’s already been an order for the script, but it’s not yet clear if “Drago” will get off the ground.
In an interview with Deadline, during the premiere of “Creed III”, Jordan said that “building the Creed universe is something that makes me very excited”.
