This Friday, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte commented on Richarlison’s statement after being eliminated in the Champions League last Wednesday.
“Richarlison is right, his season isn’t good. He’s had many injuries. He started well, got injured, went to the World Cup, when he came back he was injured again. He hasn’t scored in the Premier League yet, he’s scored twice goals in the Champions League Champions and I think he was quite honest saying his season is not good. But the season is not over yet. He has a chance to recover. If he thinks he deserves to play I will give him the opportunity, otherwise we have other players ready” said the Italian.

After the 0-0 draw with Milan, for the return to the Champions League, Richarlison showed dissatisfaction with the few occasions with Conte.
“There are no fools here, I’m a professional. I work every day and I want to play. I’m missing a minute, I’m missing time. This season is shit… my life. I’ve come from two good matches, mainly against Chelsea, in which I played 90 minutes and we won the match. I think I should have played” the player commented in an interview with TNT Sports.
Signed in July last year from Everton, England, for around R$316m, Richarlison arrived as a goal hopeful for Tottenham. In practice, however, things were different. That season, the Brazilian played 25 games, scoring only two goals and three assists.
