Yesterday in the capital’s cinema “Karo 11 October” a special screening of the drama “Nika” took place as part of the Karo.Art program. The film was presented by director Vasilisa Kuzmina, screenwriter Yulia Gulyan, actors Liza Yankovskaya, Anna Mikhalkova, Ivan Fominov, Vita Kornienko and Evgeny Sangadzhiev, as well as producers Fyodor Bondarchuk, Mikhail Vrubel, Alexander Andryushchenko, Denis Baglai and Vadim Vereshchagin. By the way, the 26-year-old granddaughter of Oleg Yankovsky was awarded a special prize American Film Festival South by Southwest (SXSW) in Texas for this role.
The guests of the special show were: Aurora, Artem Mikhalkov, Sergey Burunov, Sergey Selyanov, Anna Tsukanova-Kott, Zhora Kryzhovnikov, Yuri Bykov, Varvara Shmykova’s lover and DJ Daniil Radlov and others. Among them was also actress Olga Sutulova, who had not been published for several months. As it turned out, she and Evgeny Stychkin will soon become parents – the actress was willingly photographed in the auditorium with a rounded belly.

The film “Nika” tells about the fate of the famous poetess Nika Turbina, who became famous at the age of 8 and lived a short life full of dramatic events. As a child, Nika toured the Soviet Union with her mother, reading her poems: stadiums full of poetry lovers, bohemian parties, meetings with celebrities. The little girl struck with unchildish sadness and piercing lines … Now she is 27. The USSR no longer exists, just as there is no childhood, no glory, and the most difficult thing is no inspiration. Nika no longer writes poetry and tries to understand herself: where did her “voice” disappear to, why does she no longer feel her mother’s love and can she ever be happy like everyone else? Acquaintance with a cheerful and independent Ivan gives Nika hope for this happiness and gives forgotten inspiration.
Filming took place in Moscow and began in May last year. Then the authors said that this story “will not do without elements of fiction, and some characters, scenes and dialogues are the result of the creativity of the team of creators of the picture.”
The film will be released nationwide on May 19.
