Sailing: Ambipar Response makes its debut in the 2023 season at the Mitsubishi Cup

The team will compete in the Mitsubishi Cup this Saturday (11th), in Ilhabela, Sao Paulo

The crew of the Ambipar Response sailboat is looking forward to the first regatta of the 2023 season. This Saturday (11), the team will seek the first places in the Mitsubishi Cup, in Ilhabela, São Paulo, with the high performance boat .

The Ambipar team will be made up of the same sailors who make up the Phytoervas 4Z, Santos’ sailboat. Among the partners is Marcelo Bellotti, responsible for the strategic part in the regattas.

Ambipar Response, formerly Montecristo, carries a lot of history and titles in the waters.

“It will be a big responsibility for the whole team. It’s a great boat to sail, very fast, and we hope to be able to fight for the top positions,” explained Marcelo Bellotti.

“It’s a heavier boat, which needs higher wind conditions. We have everything to make a good regatta! We are all excited and will try to get the best out of the boat, which in my opinion has one of the most beautiful designs in Brazil,” she concluded.

The strategy of adopting the Phytoervas team owes a lot to the relationship between the athletes. The team won last Saturday (04) the Volta regatta from Ilha das Cabras, in Santos.

This time the challenge will be in the city of Ilhabela, known for fierce disputes and winds that change from light to strong during the day.

Ambipar Response is a vertical of the Ambipar group, specialized in crisis management and emergency response and has 6 business units: Emergency Response, Fire Response, Industrial Response, Maritime Response, Environmental Response and Medical Response.

The company works to respond to environmental emergencies that occur on highways, railways, airports, ports, port terminals, industries, mining companies and pipelines. The operational bases are strategically distributed across 6 continents to provide the best service in crisis management and emergency response onshore and offshore.
