Cobra Space Adventure: The announced game from the cult anime

Ahhh, Cobra… Who is still not familiar with this unforgettable character created by the star of the manga series and especially the absolutely iconic anime series, Buichi Terasawa? An eternal cigar in his beard, always rushing to the rescue of widows and orphans, this tireless seducer of the most beautiful women in the galaxy and killer of space pirates with his delta beam in his left arm, left an indelible mark on our memories. The series may be 41 years old (and yes, already…), it hasn’t aged a bit.

So much so that it will soon be turned into a video game. Publisher Microids announces pre-production of the game based on the license, for consoles and PC. “We are delighted to be working on this adaptation of Cobra, the legendary anime that has captivated millions of viewers worldwide.

We are committed to honoring the universe and characters created by Buichi Terasawa, while offering an immersive gameplay experience that is true to the spirit of the series. The Cobra game promises to be a great adventure for fans and gamers looking for a rich and engaging world.” Comment from Microids CEO Stefan Longeard.

The announcement was made without any other details like the game’s title or even visual cues. But it allows at least to occupy the place. And between now and the release of the next title, you’ll have plenty of time to create or remake the entire fabled series.

The Return of Tintin

It will be an adaptation Tintin and the Pharaoh’s CigarsDeveloped by Madrid studio Pendulo, known for the Runaway trilogy of point’n click adventure games released between 2003 and 2009. and recently back VertigoA rather mixed adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s Cold Sweats.

For reference, Tintin was looking for the tomb of the pharaoh Kih-oskh, which contained a grave secret. From Egypt to India, through Arabia, the reporter, accompanied by his dog Snowy, investigated a drug case in the East.

Surprisingly, there have been very few Tintin video games; Barely a handful since the first one in 1989. The most recent one, released in 2011, was The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the UnicornA delightful adaptation of Steven Spielberg’s film.
