Just one year after the premiere of ‘Rage Awakens’, Guy Ritchie recruits Jason Statham again to place him in front of an action thriller with hints of comedy. An international espionage film that, judging by the trailer and its first images, seems to bear a certain similarity to ‘Operation UCLE’ and ‘The Gentlemen: The Lords of the Mafia’, two of his last works.

Initially, its premiere was scheduled for the past March 25th, but its launch has been postponed. We hope to be able to enjoy it throughout 2022.

The British has been slightly moving away from the tone of his first and recognized films -Locke & Stock and Snatch. Pigs and diamonds- so that, once his relationship with Madonna is over (by the way, the singer’s biopic is already underway and there are several candidate actresses to play her) and his lowest hours as a director, to embrace an evolution in his style, more fresh, less dirty and just as street. Leaving the underworld to (un)place ourselves with some of his characters in the goings-on of a more elitist society.
Ritchie’s cinema, the good one, the one that manages to put his ingenuity to work at the service of history, continues to have petty criminals and losers under his unmistakable lapidary verbiage.

Like other directors like Tarantino and Nolan, Hatfield’s usually mixes stars he totally trust with new faces. Bring back, of course, Jason Statham, with whom he has already worked on four other occasions, Hugh Grant (‘The Gentlemen: The mafia lords’ and ‘Operation UNCLE’) and Josh Hartnett (‘Awaken the fury’) , while the new additions are Aubrey Plaza (‘Black Bear’), Cary Elwes (‘Saw’), and rapper Bugzy Malone, in his acting debut.

MI6 agent Orson Fortune (Statham) and his team of agents recruit Danny Franscesco (Hartnett), one of Hollywood’s biggest movie stars, to help them on an undercover mission. Together, they will try to prevent the sale of deadly new weapons technology into the hands of billionaire arms dealer Greg Simmonds (Grant).
