This may be the last major update for the Galaxy S20 FE, released in 2020 with Android 10; One UI 5.1 brings new things to personalization and photography
OR Galaxy S20 FE it’s one of Samsung’s biggest hits in recent years, and it’s only going to get better. The 5G version of the device has started receiving OneUI 5.1latest version of modification pack from samsung for the android 13. Among the new features are photography and system customization capabilities.
The update was reported by some users of the Samsung Members Community forum, an official South Korean brand.
For now, however, the update doesn’t appear in Samsung’s official documentation: there, the most recent news is of a February 23 build, which brought only bug fixes, improvements in stability and performance of the device.
The Galaxy S20 FE 5G was one of the last Samsung devices to receive Android 13. It only arrived in February 2022, more than two months after other versions of the model arrived.
Galaxy S20 FE 5G is a top of the range without luxury
Launched in the second half of 2020, the Galaxy S20 FE offers several features of the standard S20 in a simpler finish, with a lower price.
The phone soon became one of the best buys in the Android universe. As highlights, it has a triple camera with 3x zoom lens, a 120Hz screen and a top-of-the-line processor.
Originally with an Exynos 990 chip and 4G, it got a variant with Snapdragon 865 and 4G in 2021. A third version, with Snapdragon 865 and 5G, arrived in May 2022.
Since the device came with Android 10 and Samsung has pledged to deliver three Android updates, it’s very likely that Android 13 will be the last to arrive for the device, as will One UI 5.1. After that, only security updates and bug fixes.
How to update your Samsung
Android and One UI updates come to Samsung devices the same way and just follow these steps to find them:
- Open your device settings.
- Go to “Software Update”.
- If so, tap “Download and Install”.
The device will check if a new version of the system is available and provide instructions on how to install it.
