Remember the boy who confronts Anakin in ‘Star Wars: Episode III’? This is what he looks like at 25

In the same way that Jake Lloyd (the kid who was Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars”) quit acting, the child actor who appears in “Episode 3” as a Padawan in the Jedi temple disappeared after the movie.

2005 saw the release of ‘Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith’, the conclusion of the prequel trilogy and where Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) falls to the dark side and murders his fellow Jedi during Order 66.

In an iconic scene from the film, actor Ross Beadman portrayed Sors Bandeam, one of the apprentices at the Jedi Temple who trust Anakin to save them, only to be murdered by the now transformed Darth Vader.

The George Lucas saga is not uncommon to give child actors a chance, like 2022 with the Mexican boy who plays Cassian Ador in Diego Luna’s series. But in Ross Beadman’s case, he disappeared after his film debut.

  • Diego Luna also plays in movie ‘Nicotine’, which you can watch for free on ViX.

Who is Ross Beadman in “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith”?

Ross Beadman was born on January 23, 1998 in Kingston, England and in 2005’s “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” he is the young Padawan who asks Anakin for help while running Order 66.

“Master Skywalker, there are too many. What are we going to do now;” is Beadman’s dialogue.

Beadman was just 6 years old when the film was shot, and in an interview with ‘The Geeknd’ YouTube channel in February 2021, he revealed how much he was paid for the memorable scene and what it was like filming with Hayden Christensen.

Beadman said he got the part as one of the kids at the Jedi Temple because his mom knew someone from the production, but back on set he was the only kid who learned the line of dialogue, so he was cast on stage.

Additionally, he commented that Hayden Christensen really scared him when they filmed the scene, because at the same time he made the move to light up his lightsaber, he yelled “boo!” and this was not planned.

He revealed that he was paid just ÂŁ90 (about $100) to record the scene, of which they did four takes. He also said that at his age he didn’t really understand the context of the story and didn’t know that his character was going to end up dead.

“It took me a while to accept it (he died) and go through the grieving process myself.”

What happened to the boy who confronts Anakin in ‘Star Wars: Episode III’?

After his appearance in the film, Ross Beadman stepped away from the spotlight, revealing in a Reddit Q&A in November 2020 that he resented being known as the “Star Wars kid” at school.

However, as time went on, he adapted to the popularity, memes and fan affection, and by now he usually signs autographs or appears at conventions and interviews talking about his role.

“Overall, I think it boosted my popularity because people liked the film. It’s really great. At first it was a little annoying to see myself labeled everywhere, but it’s the only reason I have any relevance now.”

The youngster also met Hayden Christensen in July 2019 during the New Forest Film Comic Con in London, where the two ‘Star Wars’ actors greeted each other and took pictures together.

Today, aged 25, Beadman has been working in London since 2022 as a commercial video producer at Vidsy, where he is responsible for creating content that seeks to attract customers to the company.

According to his Linkedin profile, he is responsible for creating and curating paid ads, with the goal of acquiring high-performing creators for the Vidsy platform.

He was previously a graphic designer and video producer for two years at A-List Business and studied Business Advertising and Corporate Communications at Bournemouth University from 2016 to 2020.

The young man also shares moments from his life and travels on Instagram, where in February 2023 he revealed that he will take part in a charity boxing match on March 25 to raise money for cancer research.

In his post where he poses with a photo from his ‘Star Wars’ scene, he revealed that his relatives died of cancer, so the collection is very personal to him.

“I lost my grandparents to bowel cancer at a time when cancer detection and treatment was poor, and let’s be honest, it still needs big improvements today. Delayed diagnoses are very common and people suffer a lot from it. Chances are you have a story like mine. Imagine if we could detect and treat cancer at a much faster rate. Countless people would still be alive.”
