Several Disney references have invaded Marvel’s latest film, Dr. Strange in Many Worlds of Madness. Did you notice them?
In cinemas since May 4, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness contains several appearances of Marvel characters well known to comic book fans, including twins Billy and Tommy Maximoff, who were already in the WandaVision series, which aired on Disney + last year.
Still playing Julian Hilliard and Jet Klein, Wanda’s two sons (Elizabeth Olsen) watch cartoons on TV a few times and not any of the cartoons! They are truly the creations of the legendary Walt Disney every time.
In the first scene, the young boys watch a cartoon, presumably Sky Scrappers, starring Oswald Lucky Rabbit, the ancestor of Mickey Mouse, created in 1927 for Universal Pictures. Character rights were returned to the Disney Group in 2006.
In another series, Billy and Tommy Maximov face a much more famous film: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first animated film from Disney Studios, released in 1937. Another beautiful eye-catching company behind Marvel Universe!
