Based on its success, the first opus, directed by David Leitch and Chad Stahelski, was followed by two sequels directed only by the latter. John Wick: Chapter 2 in 2017 and John Wick Parabellum in 2019.
A critical and commercial success, the trilogy grossed over $587 million at the worldwide box office. Right now, John Wick is everywhere: A limited prequel series, The Continental, is in development before Chapter 4 is released, as well as a female spin-off, Ballerina, played by Ana de Armas.
