Tennis Channel and Tennis.com named the best one-handed backhand in history
Gustavo Kuerten was voted sixth in an election by American specialty television and website, Tennis Channel and Tennis.com as the best one-handed backhand in tennis history.
The Brazilian, three-time Roland Garros champion, who used the stroke as a lethal weapon in his game, was behind names like Richard Gasquet, Ken Rosewall, Stan Wawrinka and ahead of Rod Laver, Stefan Edberg, Arthur Ashe, Tommy Haas , Guillermo Vilas , among others.
The best left foot, or one-handed backhand, went to Roger Federer followed by Belgian Justine Henin.
