“The Last of Us”: Pedro Pascal shows behind the scenes of the last scene of the series

In a farewell tone, Pedro Pascal, Joel in “The Last of Us”, shared several funny photos of him and Bella Ramsey (Ellie) in the recording of the last episode of the series. In the caption, the actor thanked the cast, HBO Max and the creators with a phrase that alludes to the program.

I would stay alive for each of you. Gratitude”, wrote Pascal. For those accompanying the production, Joel’s effort (and talent) was evident in keeping Ellie alive throughout the duo’s trajectory, which ranges from monsters from the apocalyptic outbreak, to bandits and “friends” with intentions not quite good.

The actor also posted a video, featuring an alternate ending of sorts, and a nickname for him and Ramsey: “Beldro,” a portmanteau of both artists’ names. They developed a father-daughter (or brother) relationship not only in the storyline of the show, but in real life as well.

This Thursday (16), the Chilean-American released another “Photo Dump” with several records of the cast and crew, including scenes of him in the first episode with Nico Parker (Sarah, his daughter in the series).

The last of us hit

‘The Last of Us’, based on the video game of the same name, has seen steady growth in viewership, with the final episode outselling the others. The final episode of the season, titled “Procure a Luz,” was seen by 8.2 million viewers across HBO and digital platforms on launch day, Sunday, March 12.

Outside of the United States, the production also achieved the ranks of the most-watched series in HBO Max history, both in Europe and Latin America.

With the undeniable success, still in the second week of its debut, Warner Bros. streaming has announced the renewal of the series for a second season. Still, fans should expect it for at least nearly two years (as is).

If the production pace is maintained like the first season, the recordings are expected to last 18 months. Whereas Pascal said on another occasion that filming should begin later this year (second half, probably), the premiere should happen in late 2024 or early 2025.
