Nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for The Banshees of Inisherin, Irish comedian Barry Keoghan will join the cast of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator sequel.

Barry Keoghan is set to play Emperor Geta, the main antagonist of the feature film, which follows the journey of Lucius, son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen in Gladiator ) and nephew of Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).
