Find out why it might not be a good idea to invest in the Pixel 7, despite the great cameras in the Google phone
OR Google Pixel 7 is the bet of Google for those looking for a clean software experience and good camera tricks. Equipped with the Tensor G2 chip, the mobile has premium mid-range performance, with some top-of-the-line features.
But is it worth the risk by importing a Google smartphone? Canaltech lists, below, three reasons not to buy the Pixel 7. You can also see four reasons to buy. I advise you to take a look to put each point on the scale before making a decision.
The list is in order from the point that I consider least important to the one that may weigh the most. But, of course, this is my assessment, which is not entirely without opinion. You don’t have to completely agree with every point.
To import products from the United States that you can’t find here, stop create a USCloser account. You normally shop on gringo sites and Uscloser gets it for you right there in the United States, in a sort of “American mailbox” created just for you. After that, USCloser sends the products to your home here in Brazil. It’s safe, practical and fast. follow our tutorial to register and buy in the USA saving a lot.
3. Unusual heating
The Google Tensor G2 is a good chip, with a processor that’s fast enough to run everyday tasks with plenty of power. However, I did experience some unusual warm-up during testing, and not just when running heavier games. And this is the first reason not to buy the device.

Yes, a 10-minute playthrough of Asphalt 9 was what brought the phone close to becoming unbearable to hold. But I still played for another five minutes and it didn’t get any worse, at least.
I also felt an unusual warm-up with half an hour of video on Netflix and during some reloads. Still at a level that is not impossible to hold the smartphone, but it was a bit annoying. Even more to be hot days in São Paulo.
2. History of bugs
The second of the reasons not to buy Pixel 7 is related to the history of the line. Or rather Google, whose physical products suffer a lot from bugs. It’s not very uncommon for a software update — one of the great strengths of the line — to cause serious problems for the device.
In the seventh generation, it seems that a video on the Youtube made the device reboot itself. It was a trailer for the movie Alien and the problem was apparently related to the 4K HDR format. The bug has already been fixed in an update.

But this was still a slight problem. The Pixel line is plagued by serious problems like a bootloop, which is when the device keeps restarting endlessly, forever. Not to mention the problems involving audio and other components.
Incidentally, the Pixel line isn’t the only hardware from Google to have flaws. OR 1st gen Nest Hub also reports bootloop “I even lost one for it. That is, it is good to think very carefully before risking with the products of the Research Giant, at least for now.
1. No Warranty or Technical Support
And this brings us to the third reason not to buy a Google Pixel 7: the lack of warranty and official technical assistance in Brazil. Therefore, if you have a problem with your mobile phone, you will have to carry it out on your own. Or go to the country of origin of the product.
That is, you pay a price that is not cheap and you run the risk of running out of your Pixel 7 in the event of a fatality. And given that Google’s track record with hardware isn’t the best, the stakes are pretty high.
Furthermore, replacing a screen or other component, even after the first year of use, can be a very complicated operation. You would be held hostage by unofficial technicians or you would have to take the risk yourself.
