Shazam! Fury of the Gods, a new adventure for the character played by Zachary Levi and sequel to Shazam! (2019). Rachel Zegler is one of the highlights of the film, playing Anthea, but she was still candid about the real reason why she agreed to be a part of the DC Universe’s production side.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress who became famous for playing Maria in Steven Spielberg’s revival of Amor, Sublime Amor (2021), said she agreed to be a part of Shazam! Fury of the Gods because she “she needed a job”. “I’m serious. The reality is that we are in the middle of a pandemic and I was not working and I could not find a job because love, great love had not yet left [nos cinemas]. It was very difficult to book a job for me,” she confesses.
Since her lead role in Amor, Sublime Amor was yet to be released, she reveals she was “very excited” when Fury of the Gods came her way. “I loved the first movie and the fact that they even wanted me to come back for a call and then a camera read and everything, I’m so lucky I got this job. I’ve made some of my best friends in this job. I love it. Absolutely. I love this movie too, so I’m thrilled.

Shazam!
