The Ministry of Health announced this Saturday 18 that all priority groups that were not included in the first days of the National Vaccination Movement should be called by States and municipalities to receive a booster of the bivalent vaccine against covid-19.

Until now, elderly people over 70, immunocompromised people, dependents and people living in long-term institutions, indigenous people, riverside people and quilombolas were vaccinated.

According to MS, more than 4.1 million people have already taken the booster with bivalent vaccines.

To receive the immuniser, you must have completed the primary regimen with monovalents and respect a minimum period of four months since the last dose received.

In the priority group there are:

– Seniors aged 60 and over

– Long-term residents aged 12 and over (ILP and IR) and their workers

– Immunocompromised people from 12 years of age

– Indigenous, riverfront and quilombola (from 12 years)

– Pregnant women and mothers

– Healthcare workers

Persons with permanent disability (from 12 years)

– Population Deprived of Liberty and Adolescents in Socio-Educational Measures

– Employees of the Private Freedom System

“It is important to remember that all the covid-19 vaccines offered by SUS have been proven to be safe and protect against severe forms of the disease – which has killed nearly 700,000 people in Brazil since the start of the pandemic.
