Expected on TF1 in the coming weeks, the 3rd season of HPI, still led by Audrey Fleurot as Tornado’s Morgan Alvaro, has created an event this Saturday, March 18 in Lille. The public of the Seria Mania festival, which opened yesterday with Cédric Klapisch’s Salade Grecque, was able to preview the first two episodes of this unprecedented third group.
In the final moments of Season 2, set for spring 2022, Morgan finally learns the truth about the disappearance of Romain, his first love, and Thea’s father, whom he hasn’t heard from and thought about for nearly twenty years. He was dead.
In fact, Romain went to rebuild his life in England, where he still lives and became a father. Shockingly for Morgan, turned upside down by her reunion with her ex, the long-awaited first kiss with Karadek (Mehdi Nebibu) ends. The only one who can support and love him?
Unfortunately, without giving too much away, we can already say that fans who were hoping to see the two HPI heroes pair up in Season 3 will be disappointed, as when the first episode, titled “Radial Symmetry,” begins, Morgan has left the police force. To become a janitor again and not talk to Adam Karadets anymore.
What happened between them after their kiss? Fans will clearly have the answer in the first episodes, which leave many surprises for the series’ faithful. Including the return of a character seen during a Season 2 episode.
Overall, this season opener, which opens energetically with 50 Cent’s “In da Club,” lives up to what the writers had to offer in the first two bursts of episodes. In particular, punchlines and incredible looks, made in Morgan (what earrings, we love). Investigations where the spirit of the heroine goes a thousand miles an hour. And the comedy moments are always so delicious.
Seeing Morgan overcome his urge to investigate, even so far away from the police station, is a real treat. Creator Alice Chegaray-Bruno and screenwriter Julien Anskater, who signed the first two episodes, once again offer some beautiful discoveries that allow the series to never rest. Like the end of the first episode, in which Morgan’s life is completely turned upside down, or episode 2, which throws the heroine into a rather unexpected and explosive environment.
So is Morgan Alvaro done with the police for good? Or will he find Karadek, Gilles (Bruno Sanchez), Celine (Marie Denareau) and Daphne (Béranger McNeese) at the police station? As for the story between the two heroes, will it finally come to fruition one day? RSVP to the HPI set very soon on TF1.
