Keanu Reeves faces new (and dangerous) adversaries in the story of John Wick 4: Baba Yaga, the fourth installment of the popular Hollywood action franchise.
John Wick 4: Baba Yaga is one of the most anticipated films of the year, the fourth installment of the action franchise starring Keanu Reeves, which opens in Brazilian theaters on March 23rd. This sequence promises to raise the level of action scenes even further and the protagonist recalled which were the most complicated to shoot in the four films.
Keanu Reeves first played John Wick in Back in the Game (2014) and returned for Killing Another Day (2017), Parabellum (2019) and of course the fourth Baba Yaga film (2023). In an interview with Collider, Keanu Reeves revealed what were the most difficult action scenes to shoot in the franchise. “My God! [Risos] Let’s see, the first that came to my mind was the horse sequence in chapter 3. I would say, just like the first time, the robbery sequence in chapter 1. I would say the fight at the dance party in chapter 2. And I I ‘ I’d say it’s probably a tie between the car sequence at the Arc de Triomphe and the staircase sequence at the Sacré-Cœur [ambas de John Wick 4]”, accounts.
The actor listed two scenes in John Wick 4: Baba Yaga as the most challenging in the franchise, proving his statement to CCXP that this is the most difficult film of his career. “In terms of action, it’s the hardest movie he’s ever made. But that’s what makes it good.” In a behind-the-scenes video from the production, Reeves detailed their intense preparation for the new John Wick chapter, noting that they’ve taken the sequel “to another level” in action. “It’s been about 12 weeks of training. It’s new levels of action.”
Keanu Reeves has given more details on a scene also from the fourth film, in which the character appears fighting in a ballad in Berlin while several people dance. “Well, you’re dealing with space, and you’re also dealing with the strength of people who are in the background in terms of engagement. Like, they had to keep dancing or be in the moment and just ignore that fight scene that’s happening.” around you and in front of you. So that kind of cooperation, keeping the moment alive and feeling authentic. So it’s really just practice, testing, people getting used to the action around them,” she tells Collider.
