The DC movie Shazam! The Rage of the Gods achieved the best opening weekend with $30.5 million at the US box office.

The feature film is doing less well than its previous post-Covid opus, released in April 2019, which collected 53.5 million green tickets in its first weekend in the United States.

The sequel to the adventures of Billy Batson, a teenager who can become a superhero when he says the word “Shazam!”, does the same with Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam, which made $67 million in its opening weekend. Surgery last October.
