“We are pleased that David has joined the Board of Directors. “It brings a strategic perspective that will increase the growth of our film lineup and especially AC’s expansion into educational initiatives and archival content,” said Rick Nizita, president of the American Film Library, in a statement Monday.
From the Warner Bros. lot, Zaslav now manages the newly merged media content giant after merging AT&T’s WarnerMedia assets with Discovery to form a new independent company in April 2022.
The American Cinema Hall nomination also represents Zaslav’s endorsement in a theatrical window as Warner Bros. Discovery is making big bets on streaming at the same time.
