Another trailer for the movie Dracula Renfield it’s here, giving us a much deeper look at Nicolas Cage’s boss-terrible-slash-vampires and Nicholas Hoult’s titular lackey, although the first thing you’ll probably notice is that there’s a Very There’s a priest who explodes, Dracula who turns into a bat, someone else who catches fire and a poor wretch who is shot down by Renfield of Hoult and explodes into a truly spectacular wall of blood. oh and someone the rest their arms are torn off. This is our second look at the lego batman movie Director Chris McKay’s take on the undead neck nibbler, and he really leans in that it’ll be a splenic symphony of bravery and gore. At first glance, Cage’s Dracula looks a lot like Bela Lugosi’s classic version of the character—he looks at those eyebrows—but he also has a bit of a cheeky side, chuckling coyly at the thought of being known as the Lord of Death. . . And he wants fresh, innocent souls to devour. Cold!
Above the chords of Radiohead’s disgusting masterpiece ‘Creep’ we see Renfield spend some more time with Awkwafina’s police officer, Rebecca, and trace her transformation from admired servant of the Dark Lord, to tricked servant, to rogue infiltrator looking to bring down her boss. We don’t have to wait long to find out if it’s successful. Renfield is in UK cinemas from 14 April.
