Fans of detective duo Inspector Lee and Detective James Carter of the “Rush Hour” franchise can celebrate: Chris Tucker has confirmed that he will “definitely” participate in the production of “Rush Hour 4”, a sequel revealed by Jackie Chan to the end of last year, and who eagerly awaits the expected continuation.
In an interview with the podcast V-103 by AudacyTucker said conversations are already ongoing, with him also helping develop a script.
“I’m thrilled with it. It won’t be what you normally see… Rush Hour 4 is something I will probably include [em sua lista de projetos] because I love working with Jackie, but there are some new things that I think they’ll really enjoy. I’m excited,” the actor said, also citing other professional projects.
The original “Rush Hour” was released in 1998 and became an instant hit. Among the awards that the feature film has obtained is the MTV Movie Award: Best Duo on Scene. The second hit the big screen in 2001 and the third in 2007.
All three films were directed by Brett Ratner who, after being accused of sexual harassment and misconduct, had a terminated Warner Bros. contract – leading to the belief that, AND If “Rush Hour 4” takes off, it will have a new director at the helm.
