Lord of the Rings: This is what Aragorn did when he was busy on set

Filmed mainly in the vast expanses of New Zealand, Peter Jackson’s famous trilogy, adapted from the works of JRR Tolkien, allowed its actors to discover the multifaceted country and enjoy the impressive scenery between the two sockets.

As seen in the compilation of the saga – some fragments of which are regularly published on the net – the main actors of Lord of the Rings had a field day, attending to various professions when they had free time.

While thrill-seeker Orlando Bloom (Legolas) regularly enjoys surfing, snowboarding and bungee jumping, and his friend John Rhys-Davies (Gimli) discovers a passion for boating, Viggo Mortensen, Aragorn’s translator, is distracted. Practice other activities.

Indeed, in some of the images revealed below, we can see him fly fishing on the banks of a river, which is believed to be the river of Anduin that the Fellowship of the Ring crosses at the end of the first episode.

“Any second I’m expecting to be told to go back to work”laughs Viggo Mortensen while creating.

“It may not feel like it when you see me fishing, it’s my way of waiting between shots, but we don’t have a lot of time to do well, so the more we give, the better East.”

And the actor concludes and adjusts his line: “I guess I better go learn my lines and forget about it for a while.”
