Please note that the following is a synopsis of The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4 available on Disney+. If you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want to know anything about its content, I suggest you stop reading this article now.
More than twenty years after the release of The Phantom Menace, the main cast of the Star Wars prelude makes an amazing return to the famous saga! During the fourth episode of season 3 of The Mandalorian, a flashback allows us to learn how Grogu survived the Purge of the Jedi, specifically thanks to the intervention of a Jedi named Keleran Beck.
Many fans did not really recognize the actor who gives him his features, and yet Ahmed Best is not new to the Star Wars galaxy, as the latter played one of the most famous heroes of the prequel trilogy. A character hated by hardcore fans of Saga because of his stupid and clumsy personality!

“Thanks! It’s great to be back. There’s so much to say and share. It’ll probably take me a few days. But for now, I want to thank everyone who supports me and keeps me going.”
Due to the reception Jar Jar Bink received upon the release of Episode 1, George Lucas decided to leave the character out of the remaining two parts of the prequel. However, we do know that the Gungan survived the events of Revenge of the Sith (since he attends Padmé’s funeral) and the official Star Wars novel (Counterattack: Fall of an EmpirePocket Editions) revealed that the latter had ended his days as a street clown (!).
I’ll give The Mandalorian that Ahmed Best, the guy who played Jar Jar, playing the Jedi who saved Baby Yoda is pretty cool. pic.twitter.com/A3u2j6xfNW

A fan theory claims that Jar Jar is actually an ally of Palpatine’s Sith, and that his mistakes are a ploy to avoid drawing attention to him and slow down the heroes’ progress. Of course, this theory was never confirmed by George Lucas, but Ahmed Best poked fun at it on social media.
What if Jar Jar Binks was the real villain of the Star Wars prequel?
Note that this episode of The Mandalorian does not mark Keleran Beck’s first appearance in the Star Wars universe, as the latter was already on the TV show. Star Wars: The Challenge of the Jedi Temple (After the young participants’ trip to the Jedi training camp).
However, there is a noticeable difference: the Jedi appeared in the show armed with a purple lightsaber (in honor of Mace Windu), while her saber blade is green in the Star Wars series!
Episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3 will air every Wednesday exclusively on the Disney+ platform!
