The “girl” of ‘The Exorcist’ Linda Blair will return with 64 years in the new sequel

Ever since Universal and Blumhouse announced their intentions to reboot ‘The Exorcist’, William Friedkin’s 1973 horror film classic, we’ve all been asking ourselves the same question: Will Linda Blair reprise her role as “the girl from ‘The Exorcist'”? Or, rather, will they dare to spend $400 million on the franchise rights without bringing back their most iconic character?

Confirmation has been a long time coming, but finally the insider Jeff Sneider (Above the Line) has dropped the bombshell. Regan will make an appearance in the film, reuniting 50 years later with her “mother” Ellen Burstynwho will return as Chris McNeil.
