Netflix announced this Friday (24) that it has renewed one of its currently most famous series for a fifth season: “You” (You, in the Portuguese version). Second expirationThis will be the final season of the popular thriller production that finally gets character Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) face-to-face with Justice.
“You” is based on a series of romance novels by author Caroline Kepnes. According to the creators of the series, renewing the show for a fifth installment was not a recent decision, as this was the plan from the very beginning.
“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Mike and Justin [produtores] as they take the reins as showrunner and prepare to bring Joe Goldberg home.”, said Greg Berlanti, co-creator of the series.

For those who don’t remember, the second half of the fourth season of “You” concluded with the triumphant return of Joe to New York with his wealthy widow and now wife, Kate. It is worth mentioning that this is the region where the series started.

“You” premiered on Netflix in 2018 and exploded into viewers in an escalating pattern throughout its first three seasons. The fourth season spent 5 weeks in the Top 10 in 90 countries. The fifth part of the production is expected to arrive in 2024, according to the stream, and should maintain the level of success.
