Fans of the 1973 horror classic “The Exorcist” might have good reason to celebrate. According to sources a Above the lineLinda Blair, actress who played the iconic Regan MacNeil, could return to her original role in the franchise reboot.
Also according to the portal, Blair will have a small participation in the function. A Blumhouse spokesperson also told the outlet that “Linda Blair served as a consultant on the next Exorcist film.”
The trilogy will be directed by director David Gordon Green, who also directed the ‘Halloween’ trilogy, from 2018. Still without many details on the plot, it is only known that the film will show the story of a father, played by Leslie Odom Jr., the whose daughter fell victim to demonic possession. This leads him to turn to Chris MacNeil, who has some experience in the matter, for help.
Regan de Blair hasn’t been seen since 1977’s Exorcist II: The Heretic, meaning her brief return would be on a 46-year hiatus.
