Torah 4: A character related to the Black Panther in the Marvel movie?

Marvel has unveiled a new photo of Thor: Love & Thunder in which we see a whole new character. At first glance, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Jane Foster, the new goddess of thunder (Natalie Portman), sit side by side on Asgard’s throne.

But if you look closely, at the bottom right of the picture you can see the face of a woman wearing a cat-shaped helmet.

According to the website Cosmic Circus, This is the Egyptian goddess Bastet (also called Bast), the patron saint of the house, pregnant women and children. The latter is played by Acosia Sabet (Clickbait) in a feature film by Taika Waitit.

He has already been mentioned at MCU by T’Chala (Chadwick Bosman) in the film Captain America: Civil War, but also in the Last Moon Knight series, and was briefly shown in Black Panther in his animal form.

In the Marvel universe, Bastet is the patron goddess of Wakanda and is part of the Aeneid (Pantheon of Ancient Egyptian Gods). It was he who gave warrior Bashenga, T’chala’s ancestor, the Black Panther power and Wakanda control.

In the cast of Torah’s fourth adventure, announced a few months ago, the goddess appears here along with the mighty Thor and Valkyrie, who ruled Asgard after the departure of Torah (Chris Hemsworth).

This is not the only divine creature to appear in a feature film cast, as in addition to Odin’s son Zeus, King Olympus takes his first steps in the MCU in a Russell Crowe costume.

The latter will have to deal with the horrible hill, the Slaughter of the Gods, played by Christian Bailey in the film. The villain that the director describes as probably “The best villain of wonders he has ever had“.

In this new opus, Tori engages in an unprecedented search for her own peace. But his retreat is decided by the appearance of Gore the butcher, on a mission to destroy the galactic killer gods.

To overcome this danger, Tori combines Valkyrie, Corgi, and his ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster, who – to his surprise – uses his hammer, Mjolnir, just as well as he does. Our heroes will embark on a horrific cosmic adventure together to try to determine the reasons for the ruthlessness of Gori, the butcher of the gods, and stop it before it’s too late.

Thor: Love & Thunder will be released in theaters on July 13th.
