Last Saturday the members of the cast and the technical team of ‘Compañeros’ met in a very special private event in which they commemorated the 25th anniversary of the mythical Spanish series for adolescents that was broadcast on Antena 3.
Time flies; there is nothing more than looking at the calendar, how our children are growing, that we are again wearing spring blue and white striped t-shirts and that we have gone from using merely moisturizing creams to using anti-wrinkle and anti-aging creams.
But if we tell you that they have 25 years of the premiere on Antena 3 of one of the most important adolescent series in our country, ‘Compañeros’, Maybe you start to get gray hair just thinking about it. The boys from Colegio Azcona appeared on our screens for the first time on March 25, 1998 (What were you doing at the time? I was in the founding team of the newspaper ‘La Razón’).
So with that well-known tune of “I will not fail you, we are colleagues / I will always be here if you need me…”, we met Quimi, Valle, César, Arancha, Luismi, Sara… all of them Azcona students, who conveyed to us their concerns about love, drugs, friendship, studies, family quarrels…
And of course, then there were the teachers; Among them were top-notch actors like Manuel Zarzo, Julia Garralón, Francis Lorenzo, Miguel Rellán or the always unforgettable Concha Velasco. All of them formed the broad cast of a series, ‘Compañeros’, which was on the air for 9 seasons and reached its peak audience with 6.5 million viewers.
Well, last Saturday the 25th, exactly 25 years after the premiere, they met in a private event, a large part of the artistic team and a large part of the technical team of ‘Compañeros’, leaving us photos on Instagram that show the union that still remains between Eva SantolariaAntonio Hortelano, Raúl Peña, Manuel Feijóo, Duna Jové, Cristina Peña, Ruth Núñez, Virginia Rodríguez, Daniel Retuerta, Julián González, Lara de Miguel, Estrella Zapatero, Nicolás Belmonte and David Janer…… and many others who they got us excited for almost a decade.
Manuel Ríos San Martín, executive producer, director and screenwriter, shared a photo on Twitter in which a large part of the team could be seen and in which he details that more than 70 people attended to the reunion of ‘former students’ of Azcona:
The Compañeros series began 25 years ago and yesterday we met again with more than 70 people: actors, scriptwriters, technical team…

Eva Santolaria He also shared a fun ‘selfie’ with his colleagues from ‘Compañeros’ on his Instagram profile (let’s be redundant here):
And Daniel Retuerta also uploaded a few photos of the team in the middle of the party; in one of them you can see the leading couple, Quimi and Valle (Eva Santolaria and Antonio Hotelano) with the beloved teacher María Garralón.
Will this meeting be the germ of the much-hyped second part of Compañeros, about which so much is said and expected but no one specifies anything? We will see.
