Disney and Pixar released the official trailer for their new original animation on Tuesday, March 28, Elements. The film will take viewers to an extraordinary place called Elemental City, where the inhabitants of the elements fire, water, earth and air live in harmony.
The trailer shows each element and its perspective through the eyes of Ember, an intense young woman who has always lived in Vila do Fogo. Clock:
Beginning in June, the animation will be shown exclusively in theaters and will see Ember stepping out of her comfort zone to explore the spectacular world created for the big screen. The Element City is inspired by cities around the world and incorporates concepts from each elemental community, with giant buildings that look like pine trees and waterfall-shaped skyscrapers.
The official posters feature the four main characters. See the official posters and descriptions of each character, released by Disney and Pixar:

EMBER: An intelligent woman in her mid-twenties who has a great sense of humor and loves her family, but is a little stubborn at times.
WADE: A young waterman in his early twenties who is empathetic, observant, and who isn’t afraid to let his emotions out — in fact, his emotions are hard not to notice.
PLATE: A young and intelligent boy of the earth, who has a big heart and lives in Vila do Fogo. He always appears when Ember is around.
GALLEY: From the element of air, Gale has a big personality, lots of style, and a cute, pink exterior. She is a superfan of an air ball team called the Windbreakers.
The original voice cast includes Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively. Additionally, Ronnie del Carmen voices Bernie, Ember’s father; Shila Ommi as Cinder, Ember’s love-seeking mother; Wendi McLendon-Covey as Gale, Wade’s boss who loves Air Ball; Catherine O’Hara as Brook, Wade’s mother; Mason Wertheimer as Clod, Ember’s earth-elemental neighbor and great admirer; and Joe Pera as Fern, a city bureaucrat.
Elements was directed by Peter Sohn, produced by Denise Ream (whom we interviewed during CCXP22) and Pete Docter and is written by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh, with story by Sohn, Hoberg & Likkel and Hsueh. The original film score was composed and conducted by Thomas Newman.
The animation hits theaters in June and promises to be an exciting adventure through the four elements.
