The end of Succession surprised many people, and first of all the actors of the series! In an interview he gave us, Kieran Culkin revealed that he learned that the fourth season would be the last shortly before filming, which will be the last episode of the program.
According to Roman Roy’s interpreter, there was already talk of ending the series at the end of Season 3 before Legacy creator Jesse Armstrong finally decided to re-write for a fourth season. The cast heard that the series might end at the end of Season 4, but no decision had been made when filming began.

The shocked reaction Kieran Culkin portrays at the beginning of the interview (see above) is therefore not too far from the truth, and he also admits that he would love to see a season 5 made. But the choice to end the show is coming. From its creator, not HBO, the decision to suspend it is therefore definitely the right one.
Episodes of the fourth and final season of Succession can be seen every Monday exclusively on the Amazon Prime Video platform through Warner Pass.
