It’s one of the best-selling manga of all time, but it took more than ten years to adapt it into an animated series before the end of the story! Last October, Bleach fans finally had the pleasure of rediscovering their favorite anime with a new burst of episodes released titled Bleach: A Thousand Years of Blood War !
Ten years of waiting… and a few more months for the French public, since the series was not offered in simulcast, as is usual for Japanese anime. And we have to wait until Wednesday, March 29 to see the sequel to Bleach on the Disney+ streaming platform!
No matter, because the complete Bleach (including the previous 366 episodes and the Millennium Blood War) is now available on the SVOD service. An opportunity to recall Disney’s big ambitions for Japanese animation, which began last January with the simulcast of Tokyo Revengers.
Adapted from the titular manga by Tite Kubo (74 volumes available from Glénat Editions), Bleach follows the adventures of young hero Ichigo Kurosaki, who becomes a powerful warrior after being granted the powers of a demon-hunting shinigami. Then the battle against powerful opponents begins, and unlikely allies join the hero in his quest for the initiative.
The animated series Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is now available exclusively on Disney+.
