On the day of the final episode of Fisher, Shortparis released an original track “For the first time”, recorded specifically for the more.tv detective thriller based on true events. The main roles in the show were played by Ivan Yankovsky and Sasha Bortich. The new composition became the band’s first song recorded without keyboardist Alexander Galianov, who left the band in 2022.

The track turned out to be very personal, especially at the level of harmony. It seems that this is how our childhood sounds. The text is not tied to the plot of the series, but in some moments it obscenely falls into it. We spoke with the creators of Fisher about violence, which is imperceptible but ubiquitous in society at a basic level. I remembered my first naive cruelty from childhood – the game of burning ants under the lens that had so captivated me. Once, when I was four years old, I spent a whole day like this. And in the evening, intoxicated by the number of deaths produced, I staggered home, where I felt sick until the next morning. It was scary and strange to suddenly remember this forgotten episode of life, and about all that magical, but terrible world that surrounded us in childhood, the group members said.

“Fischer” is a dark and brutal thriller, referring to such classics of the genre as “True Detective”. Also sources of inspiration for the creators of the series were the work of David Fincher (“Seven”, “Mindhunter”) and the American version of “Murder”. According to the plot, in the area of ​​government dachas on Rublevsky Highway in 1986, teenagers are killed one after another. Intelligent investigator Valery Kozyrev (Alexander Yatsenko), his daring partner from Rostov Yevgeny Bokov (Ivan Yankovsky) and a very young investigator Natalya Dobrovolskaya (Sasha Bortich) begin an investigation, not even suspecting how much it will change the fate of each of them. The only witness who can identify the maniac is the schoolboy Igor, whose parents are not at all enthusiastic about his son’s contacts with the police.
