Online cinema Okko is preparing to release the true story of the leader of the group “Korol i Shut”. Daria Ivankova’s documentary “Mikhail Gorshenev. The Legend of the King and the Jester”, in which the musicians of the cult band and the Gorshka family took part, will appear in the Okko collection in April.
The hardest part was coming up with the title of the film. At first it was “I want to stay the way I was”. Then “Do you understand, yes?” – such a code for his own, Misha’s favorite phrase. I would like the viewer, who had stereotypes about the Pot, to say after the film: “I understand … yes.” It seems to me that Mikhail Yuryevich left largely misunderstood. I hope that our film will reveal some new aspects of his personality and the audience will see his depth and kindness behind the outrageous image, – says director and screenwriter Daria Ivankova.
The documentary blockbuster about love, friendship and music will consist of two parts. Among the heroes of the project are members of the group “Korol i Shut”, Alexander Balunov “Balu”, the leader of the group “KnyaZz” Andrey Knyazev, brother of Mikhail Gorshenev and many others who knew the legendary musician personally.
