The top 10 movies streaming this week are split between half of subscription services’ highlights and half of digital rental store VOD releases. This time the most awaited titles are those of traditional platforms, Apple TV+ and Netflix. Check below for the top 10 releases to see in your home cinema.

The origin story of the famous Tetris game turns into a very funny action comedy, with political persecution and conspiracies. Written by Noah Pink (creator of “Genious”) and directed by Jon S. Baird (“Stan & Ollie”), the film tells the true story of Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton, “Rocketman”), the boy responsible for putting ” Tetris” into the Game Boy console and turn the combo into a best-selling phenomenon.
With an 82% approval rating on the Rotten Tomatoes website, the storyline shows Rogers embroiled in negotiations with Soviet officials, legal battles, and even espionage, as he tries to get the game’s creator, Russian Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov , of “Syostry”), for the United States. The cast also includes Toby Jones (“The Pale Blue Eye”), Roger Allam (“Endeavour”), Anthony Boyle (“The Plot Against America”), Togo Igawa (“Invasion”), Ken Yamamura (“Bird from the Orient “)”), Ben Miles (“The Crown”) and Matthew Marsh (“Knightfall: The Holy Grail War”).

The average continuation of the comedy “Mystery in the Mediterranean” (2019) brings together Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, who this time become real action heroes, involved in shootings, chases and explosions. The plot takes place four years after the first film and follows couple Nick and Audrey Spitz (Sandler and Aniston), who are now full-time detectives, but struggle to get their agency off the ground. One day, they are invited to celebrate their friend Maharaja’s (Adeel Akhtar) wedding on his private island. However, the groom is kidnapped during the ceremony, turning every guest, family member, and even the bride herself into suspicion, in a mystery that leads to the French capital.
Mystery in Paris” was once again written by James Vanderbilt, but is now directed by Jeremy Garelick (“Godfathers Ltd.”). The cast also includes Mark Strong (“Shazam!”), Mélanie Laurent (“Oxygen” ), Jodie Turner-Smith (“Queen & Slim”) and John Kani (“Black Panther”) However, North American critics found it mediocre (51%).

The South Korean action thriller features elements similar to franchises like ‘John Wick’ and ‘Nikita’, showing a secret society of assassins battling a former colleague, as well as beautifully choreographed fight scenes.

The romantic comedy from newcomer Raine Allen-Miller is a heartwarming girl-meets-boy story with a British accent, setting, and style, and an impressive 99% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The plot follows Yas (Vivian Oparah) and Dom (David Jonsson), two young men in their twenties, who are recovering from the bitter end of their relationship and bond over the course of a busy day in South London, helping each other affair. former nightmares and potentially both restore their faith in love.

Nothing about her seems to be able to shake her, until she receives the news that her only daughter (Maisa’s role) intends to leave home to study abroad, forcefully bringing back everything that seemed outdated.

Until the day his father recruits him for a crucial mission for the future of France: to assassinate President Charles De Gaulle.

The French musical comedy follows Tralala, a Parisian street singer who takes seriously the message “Above all, don’t be yourself,” left behind by an unknown young man. When a 60-year-old woman mistakes him for her son, who has been missing in the United States for 20 years, she decides to take on her role.
The film is directed by Arnaud Larrieu and Jean-Marie Larrieu and marks the duo’s third collaboration with Mathieu Amalric. The previous one dates back to nine years ago, in “Love is a Perfect Crime”, which also had Maïwenn in the cast. In addition to the two, the production features Mélanie Thierry (“The Zero Theorem”), Denis Lavant (“Holy Motors”) and Josiane Balasko (“It’s All Included!”).

The Argentinian drama revolves around the title woman, who at the age of 40 is unable to face the changes in her life caused by the loss of her mother, whom she used to care for. Hiding from her sister, she decides to stay in her childhood home, which is about to be demolished, hiding in the attic with a gun while the demolition crew knocks down the walls.
Delfina Castagnino’s second feature (“Lo que Más Quero”) won the Mar Del Plata Festival and stars Cecilia Rainero (“A Common Crime”), Andrea Garrote (“Wild Tales”), Antonio Grimau (“Barra Bravas”) and Diego Cremonesi (“Red Sun”).
| DEMON SLAYER: MUGEN TRAIN | VOD*
The first feature film of the Japanese animated series became a box office blockbuster. The plot is based on a popular manga, written and drawn by Koyoharu Gotōge from 2016 and made into an anime three years later, which has become a champion of audiences – and can be seen in Brazil on the Crunchyroll platform. By the way, the director of the film is the same as the animated series, Haruo Sotozaki, in his film debut.
The plot is set in Japan 100 years ago and follows a boy who fights against human-eating demons, who have killed almost his entire family and tainted his sister to turn her into an evil creature. Coincidentally, the second feature film in the saga also hit theaters this week in Brazil.
