The film adaptation of the hit comic book Tamara airs tonight on W9. An opportunity to evaluate the possibility of seeing the third adventure in the cinema.
Released in theaters in October 2016, Alexandre Castanet’s Tamara is adapted from the successful comics by Zydro and Darasse. The character first appeared as Tamara Bula in a newspaper in 2001 Spiru. Sixteen albums have been released since then.
We follow Tamara, a 15-year-old girl who is obsessed with her curves. To silence the naysayers, she makes a bet with her best friend to go out with the first boy who walks through the classroom door. This boy turns out to be Diego, the most handsome boy in school.
And it is Heloise Martin who lends her qualities to the heroine in two films of the saga. The young woman responds to Ryan Bensetti, who plays Diego, Sylvie Testud, Cyril Gué, Bruno Salomone or even Blanche Gardin.
The first film recorded 793,346 admissions, while the second part, released in July 2018, attracted 428,550 viewers in darkrooms.
Is there a plan to make a third film?
Tamaras T. 2, director and screenwriter Alexandre Castanetti told AlloCinĂ©: “At each screening, they ask us to do a third part. Obviously, it’s a lot of fun, but if we do it, and I say “if” because it also depends on success, it should be good news and we can still talk about something else. (...)
I’m thinking of Klapisch’s or Truffaut’s trilogies or quadrilogies, of course, without comparing them. But I like the side where you follow similar characters for years and years and see them change with each film.
Don’t repeat it. So, if there is a third part, I really want to tell about a new stage in the life of Tamara and her friends. That we grow together, together with society. And there, I think, it will be a real pleasure to make another shutter“.
Heloise Martin, Ryan Bensett
Lead actors Heloise Martin and Ryan Bensett are also on board, but it all obviously depends on the script. Ryan Bensetti told our microphone in June 2018:I really want Tamara 3, but in a few years. (…) A child, a wedding, we can imagine many things. We have many ideas and we can bring many things, but it will not happen immediately, because if we want to do something that stretches over time and another phase of life, we have to grow. , or when we do (laughs)”.
An incredible adventure
Joining us on March 28th, actress Heloise Martin talks about the success of The Saga on Netflix and the team’s desire to move on to a new adventure.

Heloise Martin
“Tamara’s adventure was incredible for me and the whole team. Filming always went very well, we were all very united and what’s more, I continue to see some of the team members who we have become friends with today. The topic of Tamara 3 comes up regularly, especially with the director Alexander Castanetti.
The topic of Tamara 3 comes up regularly, especially with director Alexander Castanetti.
We followed Tamara in high school with teenage problems, then Tamara in Paris entering adulthood… normally the next logical step would be to see her develop as a woman, see her blossom, why not? Child or marriage, who knows!
Today, Tamara continues to exist on platforms (Netflix) and very often we have messages from viewers asking us to continue and I know we will all love it.
Therefore, the door remains open for the third part of the adventures of the beloved heroine.
Meanwhile, the actress, a mother of one, has just finished writing her first graphic novel (which will be released by Dupuis editions soon). He tells us “This is a comic inspired by real facts (about my life). And I’m starting to work on a “potential” audiovisual adaptation“.
