‘Secret Invasion’ wins trailer and reveals Marvel’s next big war

After the premiere date of “Secret Invasion”, a new Marvel series, leaked on the internet, the studio decided to release another trailer of the production which, in addition to confirming the launch for June 21 on Disney+, also brought more mystery about the return and mission of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

The 2-minute video carries already familiar scenes, but also points to a great war that can apparently only be won by Fury, although the name of the Avengers is mentioned. It is worth mentioning that the character was last seen in “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019), when he returned to Earth after years of exile in space – since then, fans have been waiting for the unfolding of the plot.

In addition to the trailer, Marvel Studios has also released an official synopsis. “In the Secret Invasion series, set in the present day of the MCU, Nick Fury discovers the clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls. Fury teams up with his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to stop an impending Skrull invasion and save humanity.

“Secret Invasion” will be the ninth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), continuing the films of the franchise. Fury is one of the most important characters in the Marvel Universe and should connect so much with other characters – Nick Fury has a strong bond with Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), as the Skrulls are part of the heroine’s universe – promising to be historic , for that matter, delve into the true mission of Jackson’s character.

Fury first appeared in the post-credits scenes of ‘Iron Man’ (2008) – it was exactly here that Marvel started to mend the MCU, as the character appears to be joining the Avengers.
