The seventh biggest success for an English-language Netflix original, Tyler Rake quickly established himself as a safe bet. And for good reason! With the Russo brothers (Joe and Anthony) in production and Chris Hemsworth as the tortured but selfless hero, the box office was assured. And there’s one thing that its sequel, Tyler Rake 2, promises in its trailer: more explosions, grittier fight scenes, and of course, helicopter crashes.
For this second opus we take the same and start again! Sam Hargrave is back behind the camera and of course Chris Hemsworth takes on the role of poor Tyler Rake, left at the bottom of a river that crosses Dhaka in Bangladesh.
Also returning: Golshifteh Farahan as Nick Khan, Tyler’s mercenary and partner, and Adam Bessa as Yaz Khan, a member of Nick’s team. And the new head: the role of Olga Kurylenko was still kept secret.
After miraculously surviving injuries and drowning in the first film, the unstoppable mercenary Tyler returns to work for a dangerous new mission: he must break the martyred family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from prison.
The trailer focuses on the revival of the abused hero with the voice of Golshifteh Farahan telling him that he was clinically dead nine months earlier and an impressive riot scene in the prison yard where chaos reigns and rains from all sides…
To discover the feature film, see you on June 16th on Netflix!
