Every day AlloCiné recommends watching the movie (again) on TV. Tonight: Swan Arlod tries to save his cows in a rural drama.


In 2016, the director was Hubert Charwell Little peasant, His first feature film depicting the dairy world from which he himself comes, through the story of a young breeder who discovers that one of his animals has been infected by an epidemic that strikes French cattle. Rural drama, the staging of which skillfully intervenes between a documentary and a thriller.

Casting director Judith Challier has recommended Svan Arlod as the film’s protagonist. Along with non-professional actors, the latter performs a particularly authentic performance (probably helped by his one-week internship before filming with the director’s family), which allows him to win Cesar for Best Actor.
